The Corporate Social Responsibility Network of Kosovo becomes a member of CSR Europe

Prishtine, June 1, 2012- The Corporate Social Responsibility Network (CSR) of Kosovo, founded with the initiative of American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, has become a member of the Corporate Social Network Responsibility Europe (CSR Europe). This important decision in the aspect of further integration of kosovar organizations in European structures has been made by the Board of CSR Europe, just a month after the membership application of CSR Kosovo.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Network of Kosovo (CSR) was founded on April 21, 2011 by the leaders of the most distinguished Kosovar and international businesses which were dedicated to increase the awareness of the public for corporate social responsibility and to include the best practices in their companies. The network, which works under the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, aims to grow and to become a stimulating network to include new businesses in promoting of corporate social responsibility in Kosovo.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Network consists of sixteen (16) members: American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, AVC, American University in Kosovo, Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development in Kosovo (CEED), ProCredit Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Meridian Corporation, Kosovo- American Fund for Education (KAEF), Marigona Residence, SharrCem, KOSTT, PR Solutions, Dukagjini Group, Ferronikeli Complex, BU & Partners and Coca Cola Hellenic.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Network requires to be in line with 10 principles of “Compact Global” which is a framework based on principles for businesses, declaring ten principles in fields of human rights, environment and anti-corruption. The protection of human rights, protected internationally, elimination of child labor, promotion of environmental friendly projects, elimination of discrimination related to work and profession and promotion of anti-corruption values are some of the fields that the CSR Network aims to address.
